About Us
The story of OTEGA Foundation
A Kenyan community-based organisation empowering people, eradicating poverty and building sustainable communities.
Our Story
Founded on a simple conviction: every person deserves dignity.
OTEGA Foundation was founded in 2024 in Kenya, born from a conviction that lasting change begins within communities themselves. We saw women carrying communities on their shoulders without equal opportunity, children out of school, families walking miles for water — and communities full of potential waiting to be unlocked.
Today we work across twelve programme areas — from women's empowerment and education to clean water in arid and semi-arid lands, GBV prevention and humanitarian assistance — always hand-in-hand with the people we serve.

Our Vision
A just, inclusive and sustainable society where every person — regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnicity, religion, social status or sexual orientation — has equal opportunity to live with dignity, freedom and hope.
Our Mission
To empower women and vulnerable communities through poverty eradication, education, clean water, environmental protection, SME support, and the promotion of human rights, equality and non-discrimination — through partnerships, community participation and advocacy, across Kenya and beyond.
